The Cargo P.3A sound woke him with a start and despite the chill he felt on his skin, rivulets of sweat were slipping down his back. Sword in one hand he tossed the blankets aside with the other, little bits of hay still caught in the length of his hair. Somewhere in his dream, a thick sound had torn with calloused fingers through the dreamscape his mind had lovingly created, leaving him shaking and searching for what woke him. Whatever it was, it had caused every hair on his body want to stand at attention.  
 
Searching the tent, he found nothing out of place. Tossing down his sword down Roland exhaled and began to pull on his boots, rubbing h The Cargo P.3

The Cargo P.2Roland sat back in the cool water, inhaling deeply the last moments of sunset. He had no fear of traveling this close to home in utter darkness, if he did not know the way, his horse did. Many times his companion had brought him home when drink had strained his sense of direction until he did not know up from down. A glance towards the girl still wrapped in wet burlap told him it was time to get up, although watching her shiver and struggle had given him a sort of amusement during this moment of relapse.

The Cargo P.1Roland pulled his animal to a stop, his gloved fist yanking back on the reigns until the horse at last slowed its cantor. Up ahead he could see the gathering, smell the smoke from the fire and knew that there he could rest. A sigh of relief fled through him, knowing he was almost home. Glancing over his shoulder he was surprised to see that his cargo was still. The woman’s form had been wrapped in heavy burlap, securely fashioned onto the horse in a stomach down fashion. Reaching back, he lifted the hood from her face, his fingers slipping the knot free that kept the plain, rough sack secure.
